The new CAMBAC award for ‘Most Outstanding Detections’ was won by Andy Brumpton from Boots, Petty Cury. He topped the league on the run up to Christmas for excellent partnership working with the Retail Crime Squad, which resulted in Boots achieving the most successful arrests for shoplifting. His prize is a free meal for 2 at La Raza, Rose Crescent, kindly donated by our CAMBAC Chairman, Simon Harrow. Andy was also presented with a certificate from Cambs Constabulary and an engraved shield for Boots to mark the occasion.
Debenhams and Superdrug were runners up and are already both strong contenders for the next annual award, which recognises and commends the fantastic contribution by front line staff in reducing business crime in Cambridge. The new CAMBAC award for ‘Most Outstanding Detections’ was won by Andy Brumpton from Boots, Petty Cury.

Neil Fletcher, Operations Manager at Boots, says ‘Boots are delighted that Andy’s hard work has been officially rewarded by CAMBAC. We would also like to acknowledge the superb support we received from the Police in December, as their swift response to detained shoplifters gave our security staff increased confidence and cut back on wasted time.’ Well done Andy, you’re a star!
